Libraries mobile applications are currently in a slump. After the initial hype of technology that what expected to greatly change the user experience, there have been few instances of library apps being clearly successful – and many failures. However, how best to measure mobile app success is still uncertain – lack of mobile metrics is a concern for many facilitating mobile apps. Guidelines include setting expectations and measure whether these are being met; not relying on non-mobile metrics for mobile apps; and counting interactions with the deliverables the app intends to provide.

Le applicazioni mobile per biblioteche sono attualmente in crisi. Dopo l'hype iniziale dell'introduzione della tecnologia finalizzata a cambiare notevolmente l'esperienza dell'utente, pochi casi di applicazioni hanno riscontrato un notevole successo mentre molti altri si sono rivelati dei fallimenti.
